Layers of the rain forest

 Hello Bloggers today I am going to be sharing my Layers of the rain forest. We have been learning about rain forest and all of the trees and how much sun gets to the trees and stuff like that. Here is a photo of what I have done.

Friday night basketball

I am  going to be telling you about Friday night Basketball. Tonight we have our first game I am in the Hornby Hoopsters  we are going to vs the South Hornby Cobras at South Hornby. I am in a teal singlet uniform and I am number 9. Here are some photos from last term.

Rugby fun day

 On Friday the 7th of May I was lucky enough to represent Hornby Primary in a Rugby fun day at Burnside park with a group of students. 

We played 3 games. Our first game was against Oxford.  Then we played Springston and finally Halswell.  We were lucky enough to go home with 3/3 wins. 

We would like to thank  our coach  Jamie. And all of the parents and supporters including Keri. And thanks to all of the teams who came out.

Hot Chocolate

 Hello bloggers we have been working on making a google doc on how to make a Hot Chocolate. This is what I have wrote down let me know in the comments how you make a Hot Chocolate. 

Cross country

 Hello bloggers on Wednesday our teacher told us that the next day we would have to do cross country so  we got to school the next day ready to do it. We had to run 2ks. I'm  a year six so I had to run with the year six boys and girls I came 5th out of 22 people. It was a difficult track. We had to run on a hill side ways. I kept hurting my ankle on the hill.

 

Hydra boat

 Hello bloggers On Friday to Monday I went to the west coast for hydra boat racing. The people I was helping boat's name is Lady New Zealand. We come first in the  Kaniere Cup so we got a trophy. And it was the last race of the season so we will do more racing next year. This a photos of the boat here. 

 

Rugby league

 Hello bloggers. Yesterday we had rugby league trials. We had to play a game of rugby league but 4 people had no mouth guard so they had to touch us instead of tackling. 

Today everyone has their mouth guards so we will be playing another game and everyone can tackle.  

If you get picked for the team you have to go to a tournament day and vs a bunch of teams. Last year we the won the whole tournament (but we only versed one team because Covid meant lots of teams pulled out of the tournament).
